AEMG is currently hiring *English for Academic Purposes Teacher*. Successful candidates will be based at one of AEMG’s partner universities in China according to mutual agreement, discipline/major and on the needs of the universities (view AEMG map of branch locations on the home page).
The role of the *English for Academic Purposes Teacher* involves the delivery of English for Academic Purposes. *The *English for Academic Purposes Teacher* is placed with local Chinese teachers to plan and facilitate provided curriculum, class management and assessment as a co-teacher.* A global outlook is necessary to support the students’ transition to further education at partner universities in Australia, United Kingdom, New Zealand and the United States.
About you:
Native English speaker with an ability to adapt to new approaches and ideas
Talent for understanding and helping students learn complex and subtle concepts of language and language learning
Familiarity with PowerPoint, learning management systems and courseware, teaching resources for educational purposes.
Minimum 12 months commitment
Essential Criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
Minimum two years English language teaching experience
Desirable Criteria:
Teaching experience in an Australian ELICOS centre or teaching EAP at higher education institution
Master of TESOL
Familiarity with contemporary pedagogical trends
Demonstrated use of student-centred approaches and methods in the classroom and online
Interest in Chinese culture, languages, people and learning
