XUST 60th Anniversary and the Meeting of Presidents from UTAS & MQ with Freshmen

On September 15, 2018, the 60th anniversary of XUST was inaugurated in the breeze and drizzle. A/Deputy Vice-Chancellor, UTAS Global Division, Mr. Rob Atkinson, and Mr. Nicole, PVCI of Macquarie University took part in the anniversary celebration, and attended the project student’s meeting after the ceremony. The friendly interaction and communication with freshmen enabled the students to have a better understanding of joint programs, foreign cooperative universities and learning and living environment in Australia.

At 2 PM on September 17, Ms. Cherilyn LIU, International Partnership Manager, Macquarie International, organized a unique lecture for year 2 students major in electrical engineering. During the meeting, the SA students shared their experience of living and studying in Macquarie University. The audiences were very excited and enthusiastic. The students were full of expectation and yearning for studying abroad.

Through this meeting and lecture, freshmen and sophomores of XUST Branch have deepened their understanding of this cooperative education program, laying a good foundation for their further study abroad.
