Xi’an University of Science & Technology Visited Australian Partner Universities

With the invitation from AEMG and partner universities in Australia, Xi’an University of Science and Technology (XUST), led by Vice President Prof. LI Shugang, visited partner universities in Australia from 6th December to 10th December, 2016.

On 7th December, accompanied by AEMG CEO Mr. Roger Li, the XUST delegation visited Macquarie University. PVC International Ms Nicole Brigg and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering Prof. Barbara Messerle welcomed the delegation and held a meeting. Both parties had a detailed discussion on joint programs. Afterwards, the delegation visited the engineering labs in Macquarie. Prof. Li communicated with the researchers and staff concerning the management and operation of the labs, where prof. Li wished to establish more cooperation.

On the afternoon of 7th December, the delegation visited AEMG headquarter in Melbourne. CEO Mr. Roger Li warmly welcomed the delegation. During the meeting, both parties mapped their future cooperation, and XUST delegation visited the Chinese Culture Centre afterwards.

On 8th December, accompanied by Roger and AEMG Executive Director of AEMG Academy Ms. Joyce Xu, XUST delegation visited University of Tasmania, and warmly welcomed by PVC International Prof. Gary O’Donovan. Later they were joint in a meeting by delegates from faculties of science and engineering of UTAS, and furthered their discussion on teaching arrangement, lab construction and student management of their joint programs.

The visit of XUST to its partner universities in Australia strengthened the communication between AEMG and its partner universities, and laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.
