University of Technology Sydney (UTS) visits Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), 20-21 May, 2019

Mr Iain Watt, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International), UTS and Mr. Roger Li, President, AEMG were welcomed to NUAA by Prof. Daning Shi, Vice President and other senior officials.  During discussions, the three parties reviewed the current cooperative programs and explored long-term sustainable cooperation in new areas of teaching and research.  Mr Watt was also warmly greeted by students that he addressed about studying and living in Australia.

In the afternoon of the 21st May, Iain and Roger visited China University of Mining and Technology together. They were welcomed by Prof. Guoqing Zhou, Vice President and some other CUMT colleagues. During the meeting, the three parties conducted extensive discussions on potential collaborative programs and reach the broad consensus. After the meeting, Mr. Iain Watt met some on campus students. Also, he shared the opportunities and challenges studying in Australia.

In the afternoon of the 22nd May, Roger and Jenny accompanied Iain to visit one of our partner university in Qingdao, Ocean University of China. They were welcomed by Prof. Weiran Li, Vice President and other OUC representatives. During the meeting, the three parties conducted extensive discussions on potential collaborative proposal both in educational programs and research projects and reach an initiative agreement.

Through this visit, the cooperation among our partners have been consolidated. Practical cooperation in the areas of educational program and research cooperation were pushed to a new level.
