On November 27, the Joint Research Centre in Advanced Manufacturing (JRCAM) Online Scientific Research Forum was successfully held. The purpose of this seminar is to promote academic exchanges between China and Australia in the field of advanced manufacturing industry and cultivate talents with international characteristics. Alan Lau, Vice President of Swinbourne University of Technology (SUT), Xia Lidong, Vice President of Shandong Univeristy, Weihai, (SDUW), and Bruce Calway, Vice President of AEMG, attended the forum and delivered speeches respectively.
JRCAM Directors from both sides, Professor Wang Li and Professor Lu Guoxing reported on the work progress of JRCAM. More than 20 Experts and scholars attending the meeting shared and discussed active topics in the industry, such as “Materials and Applications”, “Computer Science and Engineering”, “Automation and Control” and “Engineering Mechanics and Topology Optimisation”. They also reported the latest research results.
The meeting resulted in an agreement that all parties should give full play to the role of the centre, actively and deeply carry out scientific research cooperation at more levels with the joint PhD program as the link, cultivate more international talent and accelerate the transformation of scientific research achievements.
JRCAM is jointly established by SUT, SDUW, Weihai International Port Economic and Technological Development District and AEMG. It is the first international cooperation project landing in Lingang district and one of the first scientific research institutes to settle in carbon fiber industrial park of Weihai International Port Economic and Technological Development District.
