SDUW’s Delegation and Local Enterprises were Invited to Visit AEMG Partners in Australia

With the invitation of the Australia Education Management Group and our overseas partners, the nine delegates of Shandong University, Weihai and local enterprises under the leadership of Prof. Lidong XIA, Vice President visited our partners in Australia from  9th to 13th of December, 2018.

On 10th December, AEMG President Mr. Roger LI and Director General Mrs. Jenny WANG accompanied the delegation to visit Swinburne University of Technology. They were welcomed by Prof. Aleksandar Subic, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Development), Prof. Alan Lau, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International Research Development), Prof. Hung Nguyen, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Faculty of Science, Engineering & Technology), Prof. Bernadine Van Gramberg, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Graduate Research & Research Training) and relative staff. During the meeting, the three parties discussed on the existing projects of the Joint Research Center and made a detailed consultation on the cooperation and reached a broad consensus.

On the morning of 11th December, Dr. Jacko FENG of Global Engagement and Partnership Department accompanied the delegation to visit Department of Economic Development, Transport, Jobs and Resources’ Business Engagement, Victorian Government. The three parties looked forward to the prospects ofthe current cooperation and proposed their development plans respectively.

On the afternoon of 11th December, AEMG President Mr. Roger LI and Director General Mrs. Jenny WANG accompanied the delegation to visit RMIT University. They were welcomed by Ms. Tracy Harris, Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Development) & Vice-President and Associate Professor Tom Steiner, Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching), and Prof. Adrian Mouritz, Executive Dean, School of Engineering and relative staff. During the meeting, the three parties had the Joint Management Committee meeting and had a deep discussion and reached a broad consensus in a few aspects.

On 12th December, the Delegation visited AEMG Melbourne Office. They were warmly welcomed by President Mr. Roger LI and Director General Mrs. Jenny WANG. During the meeting, the two parties further clarified the following working plans. After visiting the Chinese Cultural Center, Porf. Lidong XIA highly appreciated about the Group’s efforts for culture, education and scientific research between China and Australia over the years.

On the afternoon of 12th December, Ms. Catherine CHU, Executive Director, International Recruitment and Marketing Division accompanied the delegation to participate in the grand Graduation Ceremony in RMIT University. They met with the program students and witnessed their successful graduation.

The visit further enhanced the communication between AEMG and our partner universities, and ensured a smooth and efficient operation of joint education programs.
