On the afternoon of November 4, AEMG held a R&D strategic meeting with Shandong University, Weihai online. Delegates from Shandong University, Weihai, namely Prof. Xia Lidong, Vice President, Prof. Kong Haiyan, Director of International Office, Prof. Liu Ruolun, Deputy Dean of School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Prof. Chen Xuesheng, Deputy Dean of Business School; and AEMG Group Jenny Wang, Director General, Elroy Duan, Executive Director of Global Affairs and Partnership Division, Professor Henry Xu, Assistant to President of AEMG Academy (China), Executive Director, East China Region, Li Xiaobin, Director of Strategic and Development Planning Department, and Dr. Jacko Feng, Deputy Director of Graduate School and Research Department attended the meeting.
Jenny Wang first briefly introduced the research programs, participation and cooperation mode with domestic and foreign higher education research institutions, Cloudcampus service, etc at AEMG. Subsequently, both parties discussed the joint PhD mode and marketing plan, hoping to attract more talents through improving and enriching the program in collaboration. Meanwhile the two sides also exchanged ideas, actively explored other collaboration opportunities, and make use of their mutual advantages to carry out cooperation in a wider range of fields.
President Xia summarized the meeting, emphasizing that quality is the key to R&D collaboration. Next step is to maintain the existing program and actively expand research collaboration. In face of challenges, the two sides need to further sort out the cooperation mode, improve program quality, and give full play to their advantages in order to sustain long-term development.
The meeting has summarized the current stage of work, determined the work focus for next stage, and strengthened the partnership between AEMG and SDUW through R&D collaboration. AEMG has been actively responding to the national strategic policy of “invigorating the country through science and education, strengthening the country with talents” by seeking research collaboration with Chinese and foreign universities in various fields which laid a firm foundation in the international market of education management.
