Professor Harsharn Gill from RMIT Applied Science School visited Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine

On September 24th, 2014, Professor Harsharn Gill of RMIT Applied Science school came to visit Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. Principal Huang Guicheng, Director Liu of Exchange Department, and the other university leaders attended the meeting.

Principal Huang Guicheng expresses his warm welcome to his invitation, as well as his gratitude for the cooperation on the Chinese Medicine major and the establishment of Chinese Medicine Confucius Institute. He also hopes that this cooperation will be gradually developed to strengthen the university discipline construction. Professor Gill expresses the feelings of the visiting and introduces the basic situation of his hometown Melbourne. In addition, Professor Gill also indicates that the establishment of new majors will be fully supported to solve the problems encountered in cooperation, and gradually expand the cooperation on wider areas.

During the visit, Professor Gill has a talk with College Dean Mr. Wu, Mr. Zhang and other directors in relevant departments. They have a discussion on the problems that exist in the establishment of new projects, and reach an agreement of further cooperation in academic exchanges and scientific research. After that, Professor Gill and his colleagues attend a meeting between teachers and students. In the meeting, he expresses his wonderful impression of Nanjing and invites teachers and students to go to Melbourne for exchange.

This visit strengthens the exchanges and cooperation between the two universities. The students have been greatly encouraged, which played an important role in the establishment and progress of new projects.
