Minnan Normal University (MNNU) visits AEMG partners in Australia, 15-20 June

From the 15th to 20th of June, a small delegation led by Prof. LIN Zhiyuan, Vice President MNNU, conducted friendly visits to AEMG and 2 partner institutions in Australia.

The delegation attended the AEMG Melbourne Office where they were warmly welcomed by AEMG President Mr. Roger LI and Director General Ms. Jenny WANG. A detailed discussion was held regarding to opportunities for further collaboration. Following a tour of AEMG’s Chinese Cultural Center, Prof. LIN Zhiyuan expressed his high regard for AEMG’s notable efforts over the years in relation to culture, education and scientific research between China and Australia. Prof. LIN expressed his commitment to work closely with AEMG in several fields to promote the internationalization and development of the university.

On 17 and 18th of June the group attended Swinburne University of Technology where they were warmly received by Professor Monica Kennedy, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) and relevant key staff. Following extensive discussion concerning potential collaborative programs, a broad consensus was reached between the three parties. At the conclusion of the formal meetings, the delegation was escorted on a campus and laboratory tour.

In the afternoon of 19th June after arriving in Adelaide, the delegation (accompanied by Mr LI) were hosted by Professor Mike Kyrios, Vice President and Executive Dean (College of Education Psychology and Social Work) Flinders University, with relevant key staff. Ensuing extensive discussion centred around potential educational and research collaboration programs and was followed by a tour of Flinders University campus.

The visit further consolidated AEMG’s cooperation with universities at home and abroad, deepened mutual understanding and laid the foundation for the next phase of cooperation.
