Former Vice-Chancellor of Australian National University was Invited to visit Shandong University, Qingdao

With the invitation of Shandong University, accompanied by Mr. Roger LI, the President of AEMG, Professor Ian Young AO, Former Vice-Chancellor of Australian National University, Director of the National Laboratory of Marine Engineering at the University of Melbourne and Chairman of Cloudcampus of AEMG visited Shandong University, Qingdao on the 19th September.

They were welcomed by Professsor HAN Shenghao, Vice President of Shandong University, also the President of Qingdao campus, and other heads of relevant departments. Professor HAN Shenghao introduced the general situation of Qingdao Campus, discipline settings, personnel training and international development strategy, reviewed the cooperation between the two universities in the aspects of joint program, hoped more in-depth cooperation could be carried out in science and engineering areas, and expressed the idea to explore more possibility of Collaborative Articulation Program in the future. Professor Ian Young AO affirmed the good cooperation between the two universities in the area of joint program, and hoped to establish more in-depth partnership with Qingdao Campus in the future and conduct extensive exchanges in more disciplines.

The visit further enhanced the communication between AEMG and our partner universities, deepened the mutual understanding and trust among the three parties, and ensured a smooth and efficient operation of joint education programs.
