Flinders’ Delegation was invited to visit AEMG partner universities in China, 9-13 June

At the invitation of AEMG, a delegation under the leadership of Prof. Mike Kyrios, Vice President and Executive Dean, College of Education, Psychology and Social Work at Flinders University, visited several universities in China.

Mr. Roger Li, President of AEMG accompanied the delegation to Southwest University where they were greeted by Prof. Jinjun Wang, Vice President and key representatives from several offices and schools. Discussion took place in relation to joint scientific centers and joint personnel training, with detailed productive consultation taking place around the long-term sustainability of cooperative arrangements. Positive in-depth discussions were also held regarding proposals for future cooperation between the two universities in the area of scientific research.

The group’s second visit was to Yunnan Normal University where they were warmly received by Vice Presidents Prof. Zongli Liu and Prof. Youde Wu. During the meeting,  extensive discussion was held in relation to potential collaborative proposals in both educational programs and research projects, with an initial agreement reach. The delegation toured relevant colleges and spoke with Heads and Leaders, exchanging views on academic topics of mutual interest. In high respect for the partnership Mr. Wei Rao, Secretary of Party Committee, and Prof. Yongwen Jiang, President, YNNU also welcomed the delegation.

Practical cooperation in the areas of educational programs and research cooperation were pushed to a new level, strengthening collaboration between the universities and AEMG.
