Delegation of AEMG Visited University of Bristol

With the invitation from University of Bristol, AEMG CEO Mr. Roger Li, Director General Ms. Jenny Wang and Director of Global Engagement and Partnership Department Mr. Elroy Duan visited the university from 22nd May to 24th May, 2016.

The University of Bristol was established in 1876, which is located in Bristol, the largest city in Southwestern Britain. It is the original member of The Russell Group, the British version of the Ivy League. It is also one of the six Red Brick Universities in Britain, the original member of the Coimbra Group, member of Worldwide Universities Network and European University Association. Over the last century, the university has nurtured 12 Nobel winners. In QS World University rankings 2016, University of Bristol ranked the 37th. It also ranked the 9th in the Times British Universities Rankings.

On the morning of 23rd May, Vice-Chancellor of University of Bristol Prof. Hugh Brady, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) Dr. Erik Lithander and academics welcomed the delegation and held a meeting. Both parties exchanged their opinions on the internationalization of higher education and communication of international education. They also planned the future collaboration mode and approach.

On the afternoon of 23rd, AEMG delegation met the officials from Bristol International and all faculties. Director General Ms. Jenny Wang introduced the management of Sino-foreign joint education programs, and later exchanged opinions on potential collaborations with Bristol officials during the meeting. In the morning of 24th, the delegation visited all schools and finalized initiatives for collaborations, especially in the field of engineering, science, biomedical, humanities and law, etc.

The visit broadened the collaborations, furthered the mutual understanding between AEMG and overseas universities, and laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.
