With the invitation from Ulster University, AEMG CEO Mr. Roger Li, Director General Ms. Jenny Wang and Director of Global Engagement and Partnership Department Mr. Elroy Duan visited the university from 24th May to 25th May, 2016.

Ulster university was established in 1968, and is the largest university in North Ireland. It received University of the Year Award from The Sunday Times. And according to the 2014 Britain RAE Research Assessment Exercise (the only higher education ranking organized by British Government, and they will conduct the ranking every 7 years), Ulster ranked 38th. It is also among the top 100 young universities (established within the recent 50 years). The Schools of Business and Management are one of the largest business schools in Europe. Key majors include business administration, finance, economy, public management, law and international trading. Also, nursing in Ulster ranked the 41st worldwide, and Hospitality Management is recognized as a five-star major according to the standards in the US.

In the morning of 25th May, Vice-Chancellor of Ulster University Prof. Paddy Nixon and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic Planning, Partnerships & International Affairs) Prof. Richard Millar met the delegation and held a meeting. Both parties exchanged their ideas of potential collaborations and reached consensus on the approach and direction. Major academics from faculties of business, IT, engineering, art design and built environment, social science and law, and health sciences shared their ideas of internationalization schemes and reached consensus on collaborations.

The visit strengthened the partnership between AEMG and overseas universities, broadened the collaborations, and laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.
