At the invitation of the AEMG Group, a delegation of three from the University of Tasmania under the leadership of Prof. Rufus Black, Vice Chancellor, visited our Chinese partner universities from October 28th to November 1st, 2019.
On October 28th, AEMG Group President Mr. Roger LI and relevant representatives from the Group accompanied the delegation to visit Southwest University, they were warmly welcomed by President Prof. Weiguo ZHANG as well as representatives from relevant departments. During the talks, the three sides exchanged views on the current cooperation, and agreed to strive to improve the quality and the level of joint education programs through the efforts of all parties, so as to lay a solid foundation for scientific research cooperation in the next step. After the talks, the delegation also visited Westa College and gave a presentation to students.
On October 30th, Mr. LI accompanied the delegation to visit Shandong University, Weihai. They were warm welcomed by the President, Prof. Jianya LIU and senior leadership from relative departments. The three parties conducted an in-depth communication where they shared views on the achievements in past and planed for future cooperation to be further developed in various fields.
On October 31st, the delegation visited Xi’an University of Science and Technology again accompanied by Mr. LI, this time warmly welcomed by the President Prof. Lin JIANG, Vice President Prof. Weihu ZHANG and as representatives from relative departments and college. During the meeting, the three sides reviewed the progress of cooperation, and agreed to continue in strengthening cooperation under the historical background of deepening international cooperation. After the meeting, the delegation was invited to visit key labs and had a cordial greet-and-meet session with the students.
On 1st November, Mr. Roger LI accompanied the delegation to visit Xi’an Conservatory of Music. They were warm welcomed by the Chancellor Prof. Lijie ZHANG as well as representatives from the university. All parties agreed to build a cooperation platform for cultural and educational exchanges and cooperation between China and Australia, and carry out students’ mobility, professional development and joint scientific research projects. After meeting, the delegation visited campus and music museum of the university.
Through this visit, the mutual understanding among the three parties have been strengthened. It made progress in educational exchanges and furthermore, it laid a solid foundation for broadening the fields of cooperation.
