On 18th January, 2019, AEMG opened the International Education Management Conference in Harbin. Mr. Rhett Miller from Australian Trade and Investement Commission, delegations from Chinese and Overseas cooperative universities, AEMG Strategic Management Committee members, as well as the AEMG staff attended the conference. More than 200 people attended the conference.
The conference started in the morning at 8:30. Mr. Rhett Miller from Australian Trade and Investment Commission delivered opening speech, expressing sincere wishes to IEMC. Professor Li Bin from Northeast Forestry University gave welcome speech, showing warm welcome to all the participants. And Mr. Roger Li, CEO of AEMG presented work report to all the participants. Representatives of some cooperative universities gave keynote speeches. Focusing on the theme “Establish the Cloud Silk Road of Higher Education”, they reflected on the strategic development of higher education internationalization from their own perspectives. The conference culminated in the commencement of the launch ceremony. In the morning conference, four theme events were organized, including the announcement of the establishment of Melbourne Graduate Institute (MGI), the announcement for the establishment of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Resources Research Center, introduction to various scholarships provided by AEMG, the announcement for the establishment of the Sino-Australian Music Development and Research Center and the announcement for AEMG Academy-Future Open University.
At 2:00 pm, two forums (“The Driving Force of International Cooperation on Universities’ Teaching and Student Service Development” and “The Driving Force of International Cooperation on Universities’ Talents and Research”) were carried out simultaneously. The representatives from partner universities at home and abroad voiced their opinions on the forum topics. The conference successfully concluded in the cheerful discussion from the delegates.
