|Australian Education Management Group (AEMG) successfully held the new teachers comprehensive training in Weihai, Shandong University, from July 31 to August 11, 2017. The director of AEMG, Yuqi Lv was invited to attend the training. There are more than 20 new teachers from all AEMG branches over China and a training team composed of more than 10 branch managers and experienced teachers participated in the training.
The training, divided into two stages, aims to improve new teachers’ basic teaching skills. The first stage, which was from July 31 to August 4, is about AEMG culture. It includes AEMG overview, AEAP system and management of teachers. The second stage, from August 5 to August 11, enables teachers to present their demo classes. They carefully evaluated the new textbook and prepared for the lectures based on lesson units, teaching objectives and teaching focus, and then completed the teaching design and implementation of teaching process. By the end of the training, the new teachers completed their own teaching reflection and summary, after received feedback from their trainers. New teachers were fully focused and took down key points. Everyone who participated in the activities were passionate and active. Besides, they discussed and exchanged their ideas. The whole training process was surrounded with a positive atmosphere.
At the end of the training, all new teachers shared their own ideas from different aspects, and expressed their feelings about the training and the achievement they had received. At the same time, in order to make the training more effective in the future, the new teachers also exchanged their views and constructive advice on the improvement of future teacher training.
New teachers have broaden their horizons and strengthened their awareness of learning through the two-week training, which forms the foundation of efficient teaching in the coming semester. All new teachers were awarded with AEMG certificates, which indicates the successful ending of 2017 AEMG Weihai New Teachers Comprehensive Ability Training Meeting.
