In August 5th, the first group of the teaching backbones from AEMG finished the three weeks’ teaching ability training at Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus successfully.
During the training, under the instruction of Professor Mary Ann Margaret Armstrong, all participants not only studied varieties of teaching theories hardly, but also did research about how to solve all kinds of problems occurred in their teaching and teaching management. In the last week, all participants prepared microteaching through applying the theories learnt in the first two weeks to the practical class and presented the microteaching one by one. In addition, everyone finished the action research report on basis of their own practical teaching issues. After three weeks training, the teaching backbones from different branches greatly improved their understanding of teaching theories and teaching abilities, they also broadened horizons and strengthened the teamwork spirit through appreciating the local conditions and customs in the spare time.
At the end of the training, all participants did presentation and ending performance. The hard working and team spirits were completely fulfilled during the training. Finally, everyone got two certificates from Swinburne University of Technology and AEMG. The training was successfully finished.
