On the 27th May 2019, the AEMG delegation led by Mrs. Catherine CHU, Executive Director of International Recruitment and Admission Division, were warmly welcomed to the National College of Ireland (NCI) by Dr. Danielle McCartan-Quinn, Vice Dean Undergraduate Studies, Dr. Colette Darcy, Dean of Business School, and Mr. Simon Turner, Regional Executive. Extensive positive discussions were conducted in relation to the current collaborative programs.
On the 28th May 2019, Prof. Paddy Nixon, VC of Ulster University warmly welcomed the AEMG delegation – led by Mr. Roger Li, President and Mrs. Jenny WANG, Director General. Prof. Ian Montgomery, PVCI hosted meetings with several faculties including the Faculty of Engineering, in relation to the current collaborative programs. The two parties further clarified the potential for cooperative programs with other faculties into the future.
On the 29th May 2019, the delegation was warmly welcomed to Aston University by Prof Alec Cameron, VC and Ms. Saskia Hansen, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International). Ms. Hansen hosted a strategic meeting focused on the development of Aston in China. Current cooperative programs were discussed and clarification provided as to other potential future opportunities moving forward.
On the 29th May 2019, the delegation arrived at Brighton University and was warmly welcomed by Prof. Debra Humphris, VC and Associate PVC, Prof. Andrew Lloyd. The delegation were invited to attend a fashion show hosted by the University to showcase the impressive talent of the students undertaking Fashion Design.
During the morning of 30th May, Mr. Gareth Topp, Head of Internationalisation hosted a meeting between AEMG and Prof. Toni Hilton, Dean of Business School. This meeting provided the opportunity for deeper discussion and development of a clear perspective for the future potential collaboration in a range of areas.
The delegation visit to the UK and Ireland partners further consolidated AEMG’s cooperation with universities abroad, deepened mutual understanding and laid a strong foundation for the next phase of cooperation.
