On the afternoon of June 5, the annual program seminar of AEMG Group and Ocean University of China was successfully held in Melbourne, Beijing and Qingdao through an online conference platform. 30 representatives including Director of Teaching Affairs Office Prof. Qizhi Fang, Dean of College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Science Prof. Changlong Guan of Ocean University of China, President Mr. Roger Li and Director General Ms. Jenny Wang of AEMG Group attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Ms. Jenny Wang firstly shared the latest developments of international relations and partners, and mentioned that the global epidemic and the trend of resuming office work and school study cross countries brought challenges to Sino-foreign cooperative education – especially in aspects of modern management methods of higher education, technological innovation in teaching and learning, and integration and flow of resources. Under this context, the important role of Sino-foreign cooperative education in discipline development, system construction and international talent cultivation in Chinese universities will be therefore highlighted. Afterwards, the Teaching Affairs Office, College of Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences of Ocean University of China and the directors from relevant departments of the Group discussed the operation and management of the Sino-foreign cooperative education programs and the work plan of joint school with a focus on partnership maintenance and new partnership opportunities, teaching arrangements and cloud campus, student activities and services at home and abroad.

In summary of the meeting, Mr. Roger Li stressed that both parties should establish a fresh and deep understanding of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools, based on the domestic and international situation in the post-COVID-19 era, to review and upgrade the existing cooperation, optimise and innovate the cooperation model continuously and take a broad view of higher-level cooperation opportunities such as scientific research cooperation in future. Prof. Changlong Guan acknowledged the effective response strategy adopted by the Group and expressed the determination to work together with the Group and overseas partner universities towards a common, higher and longer-term goal.
