On January 12, 2013, AEMG held its 11th Annual Meeting in the lecture hall of China University of Mining and Technology(CUMT).
On the morning of 12th January, AEMG 11th anniversary Celebration of the General Assembly was held in the lecture hall with warm atmosphere. More than 200 people attended this meeting, including AEMG Strategic Management Committee guests, Academic Committee guests, leaders of Chinese and Overseas cooperative universities, as well as the AEMG staff, to celebrate the 11th Anniversary of the establishment of AEMG.
In the meeting, representatives of some cooperative universities gave a speech, mainly summarizing eleven years of experience of cooperation with AEMG and giving encouragement and hope for the future development of AEMG.
Then, Li Xinqing (Roger), CEO of AEMG reported the annual work. In the report, Roger reviewed the forty years education exchange and cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Australia. Later, Roger reported the situation of business case within the group, displaying the outcomes achieved and reflecting ton the lack of work. He also made an overall plan for the future development of AEMG.
Next, Wushan, the Director of Teaching Department in AEMG, and Xiang Yu, Australia Office Manager respectively made the report on 2012 Annual Work of Teaching Department and the Melbourne Office.
After the report, the board-unveiling ceremony began. In 2012, AEMG added two centers: the AEMG Teaching and Learning Resources center and the AEMG Academic Development center and two other joint institutions.
The Award Ceremony
The semester’s evaluation of teachers, combing the judgment from comprehensive department, project office, leaders, colleagues and students. This year we have selected six outstanding teachers. They have made extraordinary contributions on the ordinary post, carrying forward “The Heart of Education is the Education of Heart”. The third prize of excellent teachers were Yan Xu, from the Nanjing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics project office, Cao Yingying, from the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine project office and Wang Li, from the China University of Mining and Technology. The second prizes of excellent teachers were Wang Chunjie, from the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and Qiu Yingjie, from China University of Mining and Technology. The first prize was Wang hui, from Central China Normal University project office. And Zhu Rui, from Central China Normal University was awarded the special contribution.
To thank for employees’ great efforts, AEMG selected annual “AEMG Star”. 2012 “AEMG Star” was won by Mr. Xiang, the Manager of Melbourne Office and Jia Yanli, the director of the Department of General Affairs.
The opening of “AEMG Classroom”
AEMG focus on the development of group culture. In 2011, Strategic Management Committee guest professor Li Yongtian wrote a piece of art “Boundless Love” as the speech of congratulation to the group, which, has been the concept upheld by all the staff in AEMG. This year, AEMG was honored to invite Li Yongtian to give the first speech for “AEMG Classroom” , with a hope to attract more experts to join in this activity.
